I am a purpose-driven Copenhagener with roots in Western Zealand. I am passionate about creating the best opportunities for others to come together and develop a better world. My leadership is based on an appreciative, systemic, and narrative approach, and I love engaging myself, my employees, and my colleagues in exploring and solving complex challenges.
Professionally, I am a leader at the Danish National Archives, where my team and I are responsible for Denmark’s digital memory and the long-term preservation of all data submitted to the archives. This is both a technically and managerially complex task, where I navigate the intersection of technology and leadership every day.
I am passionate about spreading the ability to practice good leadership. I believe that leadership—whether as an employee or a manager—is a prerequisite for driving positive development in both private companies, public institutions, and society as a whole. That’s why we need to focus much more on what leadership really is and how to become good at it—regardless of whether you are an employee, a manager, or self-employed. We all engage in leadership when we collaborate, and if we are to truly solve major societal challenges, we must excel in both leadership and technology.
I believe IDA should play a significant role in supporting all our members in practicing good leadership—both in employee and managerial roles. We need to recognize leadership as a professional discipline and equip our members to become even better leaders, together.
