Divya Khurana

I’m Divya Khurana, currently working as a Software Test Developer at GN Hearing, where I contribute to ensuring the quality and performance of cutting-edge hearing solutions. In parallel to my professional role, I’m pursuing an Industrial Master’s in Computer Science at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), combining academic knowledge with real-world industry experience.

In addition to my work and studies, I’m actively learning Danish and am currently progressing through Module 4. I’m passionate about continuous learning, and in my free time, I enjoy reading books, watching movies, and engaging in various training programs to further develop my skills.

I’m also involved with Women in Tech (WIT) Denmark, where I have the privilege of co-leading the group in Denmark. I’m passionate about empowering women in technology and creating a supportive community for professional growth.

I am standing for election because I strongly believe that the future of the STEM community in Denmark must be built on the pillars of innovation, inclusivity, and well-being. With my background in software development, my studies in Industrial Computer Science at DTU, and my active role as a co-leader of Women in Tech (WIT) Denmark, I am passionate about making a real impact on both the technical and cultural aspects of our profession.

I see a pressing need to address the challenges that professionals face in their day-to-day lives, particularly when it comes to work-life balance, mental health, and creating inclusive spaces for all voices in STEM. Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed firsthand how a lack of diversity and inclusion can limit the full potential of teams and innovation. By actively championing these values, I want to ensure that IDA not only fosters cutting-edge research and technological progress but also nurtures a community where every member feels respected, heard, and empowered.

The mental and emotional well-being of professionals is often overlooked in fast-paced industries, but it is a critical factor in long-term success and innovation. I fully support IDA’s focus on flexible work-life balance and will advocate for policies that allow professionals to excel in their careers while maintaining healthy, fulfilling personal lives. A focus on well-being ensures that we retain talent, foster creativity, and improve overall job satisfaction.
