Hello, my name is Jasmine Quick, and I believe I should be part of the Welsh Youth Parliament because I have always been interested in making sure things are fair, sharing my ideas with others, the outdoors, communication and my community. For example, I have been on multiple organised litter picks in my area, and also often collect litter on days out at the beach or other beauty spots. I have taken part in presentations that involve speaking in front of my whole year group (roughly 150 students) and if there's a sports club, I'm there. Over the past year, I have been bumped up to top set for every subject. At first, I was worried about moving into top set maths, however it has quickly become one of my favorite subjects and I'd like to say I am good at it - I enjoy a challenge! I have a job working for my mum at her independent business (Driftwood Designs) every Saturday. The shop started two years after I was born, so I have grown up helping out and watching the business grow.
