Hello my name is Albert. I am 16 yearly old and I believe I should be considered for a Welsh youth parliament member as I am a proud Welsh speaker and will fight for the Welsh language and culture to grow.
When I was in year 6 attending ysgol Cymraeg Casnewydd, myself and a few others from my year attended 2 conferences; one in the all nations centre ,and one the pier head building. Both were about educating teachers on how to let children express themselves, when feeling uncomfortable because of: sex, gender, sexuality or race. People such as Sally Holland attended these conferences. Fortunately we had Professor Emma Renold from Cardiff University to help us with our presentation.
In addition to this, I have seen and heard about how the lack of infrastructure in wales affects people’s lives everyday. The fact that we don’t have more airports, railways and motorways, meaning we have to rely on England to travel is not right. Therefore I am researching this matter for my A-level Welsh
Helo, Albert dw i. Dw i’n 16 oed a dw i’n meddwl dylen i gael fy ystyried fel aelod o Senedd Ieuenctid Cymru oherwydd dw i’n siaradwr Cymraeg balch, a dw i’n mynd i ymladd i wneud yn siŵr bod iaith a diwylliant Cymru yn ffynnu.
Pan roeddwn i ym mlwyddyn 6 yn Ysgol Gymraeg Casnewydd, nes i a rhai eraill o fy mlwyddyn fynd i ddwy gynhadledd; un yn y ganolfan gynadledda ac un yn adeilad y Pierhead. Roedd y ddwy gynhadledd am addysgu athrawon sut i adael i blant fynegi eu hunain pan maen nhw’n teimlo’n anghyfforddus oherwydd: rhyw, rhywedd, rhywioldeb neu hil. Aeth pobl fel Sally Holland i’r cynadleddau hyn. Yn ffodus, roedd yr Athro Emma Renold o Brifysgol Caerdydd ar gael i’n helpu gyda’n cyflwyniad.
Hefyd, dw i wedi gweld a chlywed am y diffyg seilwaith yng Nghymru sy’n cael effaith ar fywydau pobl bob dydd. Dydy hi ddim yn iawn bod angen dibynnu ar Lloegr i deithio yn eu meysydd awyr, rheilffyrdd a thraffyrdd. Felly, dw i’n ymchwilio’r pwnc hwn ar gyfer y Fagloriaeth Gymraeg.
