CANDIDATE STATEMENT

Becoming a member of the Welsh Youth Parliament would allow me to be a voice for young people and contribute to shaping the future of our country. I am passionate about issues that affect my generation, such as mental health, education and the environment. I believe that young people have unique perspectives and ideas, and I want to ensure that these voices are heard and valued in decision-making processes.
As a dedicated and empathetic individual, I am committed to listening to the concerns of my peers and working collaboratively to find solutions. I want to represent the diverse interests of young people across Wales, making sure that no voice is left out, particularly those from underrepresented communities. I also see this role as an opportunity to develop my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, which will allow me to serve my community more effectively. I have had experience of being a school council representative and would like to develop this further.

DATGANIAD YMGEISYDD

Byddai dod yn aelod o Senedd Ieuenctid Cymru yn caniatáu i mi fod yn llais i bobl ifanc a chyfrannu at y gwaith o lunio dyfodol ein gwlad. Rwy’n angerddol am faterion sy’n effeithio ar fy nghenhedlaeth, megis iechyd meddwl, addysg a’r amgylchedd. Credaf fod gan bobl ifanc safbwyntiau a syniadau unigryw, ac rwyf am sicrhau bod y lleisiau hyn yn cael eu clywed a’u gwerthfawrogi mewn prosesau gwneud penderfyniadau.
A minnau’n unigolyn ymroddedig ac empathig, rwyf wedi ymrwymo i wrando ar bryderon fy nghyfoedion a chydweithio i ddod o hyd i atebion. Rwyf am gynrychioli buddiannau amrywiol pobl ifanc ledled Cymru, gan wneud yn siŵr nad oes unrhyw lais yn cael ei anwybyddu, yn enwedig lleisiau’r rhai o gymunedau nad ydynt wedi’u cynrychioli’n ddigonol. Rwyf hefyd yn gweld y rôl hon fel cyfle i ddatblygu fy sgiliau arwain, cyfathrebu a datrys problemau, a fydd yn caniatáu imi wasanaethu fy nghymuned yn fwy effeithiol. Rwyf wedi cael profiad o fod yn gynrychiolydd cyngor ysgol a hoffwn ddatblygu hyn ymhellach.
