As a Welsh speaker and Year 10 pupil, I am passionate about protecting the Welsh language and our heritage. We should ensure that young people’s voices are heard and respected locally and nationally. My pride as a Welsh person inspires me to make a difference. I have been active as a Year 9 representative and a member of the South Wales GCA Youth Committee. I intend to contact young people, including over 800 students at my school, to gather their views and ensure that they contribute to discussions that shape the future. My aim is to pursue a career in politics, and this role is a great opportunity to develop the necessary skills. Over the past three years, I have served on the school council, participated in local council meetings and BBC political events, and engaged with important figures such as Chief Constable Pam Kelly. These experiences have developed the leadership skills needed to represent young people effectively.

Fy mwriad yw cysylltu â phobl ifanc, gan gynnwys dros 800 o fyfyrwyr yn fy ysgol, i gasglu eu barn a sicrhau eu bod yn cyfrannu at drafodaethau sy’n llunio’r dyfodol. Fy nod yw dilyn gyrfa mewn gwleidyddiaeth, ac mae’r rôl hon yn gyfle gwych i ddatblygu’r sgiliau angenrheidiol. Dros y tair blynedd diwethaf, rwyf wedi gwasanaethu ar gyngor ysgol, cymryd rhan mewn cyfarfodydd cyngor lleol a digwyddiadau gwleidyddol y BBC, ac wedi ymgysylltu â ffigurau pwysig fel y Prif Gwnstabl Pam Kelly. Mae’r profiadau hyn wedi datblygu’r sgiliau arweinyddiaeth sydd eu hangen i gynrychioli pobl ifanc yn effeithiol.
